    Customer challenge

     

    The Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife manages lighting on three islands from one location with CityTouch software. Originally, the port authority was facing several challenges: First, managing lighting on three islands was difficult and time-consuming. Second, they were looking to improve the facilities for tourists and citizens. And finally, the port authority wanted to cut its energy consumption. CityTouch has helped the organisation meet all of these.

    The right lighting

     

    After replacing their lights with LEDs and implementing CityTouch software, the Port Authority achieved energy savings of 81%. They can now manage lights on all three islands from their computer – wherever they are. The Port Authority also enjoys the flexibility of adapting light levels of each port individually. And finally, it is not necessary anymore to send repair crews around – lights send automatically an email to the responsibility if they need repair.

    CityTouch is a software platform for outdoor lighting. It allows operators to monitor and manage the public outdoor lighting system. They can also store, visualise, and analyse historical information about luminaire performance.
